The cover should be kept clean. It is recommended to be cleaned
and conditioned at least bi-weekly to maintain and enhance the beauty of the cover.
To clean and condition the vinyl cover:
-
Remove the cover from the spa/hot tub and gently lean it against a wall or fence. Be sure to watch out for sharp and protruding objects.
-
With a garden hose, use a light spray to rinse away and loosen dirt or debris.
-
Using a sponge or soft bristle brush and a very mild soap solution, scrub the vinyl in a circular motion. Use care not to let the vinyl dry (with soap film on it) before it can be rinsed clean.
IMPORTANT: Do not clean the cover while on the spa/hot tub because the soap may enter the water or damage or stain the cabinet or deck.
-
Now scrub the perimeter and side flaps of the cover and then rinse clean.
-
Rinse off the bottom of the cover (use no soap) and wipe dry with a clean rag.
-
To condition vinyl cover (after cleaning) apply a vinyl protectant/preservative (available at most stores) by following directions on the container.
Place the cover on the spa and fasten cover with tie downs and snaps.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS
Do NOT walk, stand sit or allow any excess weight of any kind on the cover.
Do NOT drag on surfaces or sift the spa cover using either the handles or tie down straps.
Do NOT leave cover on spa/hot tub when applying excess chemicals or shock treatment to water.
